Struggle and Decay

A tension arises between freely loosing myself in what I am doing and maintaining control over the physical matter and form. Bringing these two opposing sources of energy, reconciling one with the other is in my nature. The ostensible subject of my work emerging from biological sciences is a corollary of this state of being. An ordered, imperfect surface stretched over a pulsating chaotic interior. Life reduces chaos and increases order in opposition to the universal, spontaneous flow towards increased entropy. It is a struggle against decay.
